Question

Wrong dosage by Pharmacy

What is the name of your state? Georgia
Hi,
Can i file a law suite if pharmacy gives wrong dosage. Pharmacy people admitted that they had given wrong dosage. Because of that high dosage, i lost 17 lbs in past 15 days and i am having all sorts of health problems. Is it going to be of any help, if i contact attorney in this regard. Appreciated for you advice.

You may consult an attorney about anything. The question is: what are these awful things that have happened to you? Apparently you wished to lose weight, and you did. But until someone knows what went wrong, no one can help you. That includes any lawyer you consult. Do not be shy, spell it out.

see the medicine was regarding thiroid. Since i am suffering from thiroid i consulted doctor and he put me on medication. Since then gradually i was not feeling well at all (weekness, throw-ups etc,) and i was loosing weight day by day then i went doctor again then he checked and verified the mediceine and found out that pharmacy people gave me higher dosage. Hope it is clear now.

Your additional information helps. You should talk to a lawyer to see what he says. You may have a case if he thinks you have been harmed. A lawyer has to think about money, and money is all he can sue for. So, what he will be most interested in, because you say the pharmacy admits its error, is how much money you have lost, and how much money this set of injuries is going to cost you. Do not think that a lawyer will take your case unless he can see that he will get his money back (it costs a lot to sue somebody about malpractice) and a little for his retirement. He will, of course, think about money for you. So, be prepared to show him that you have lost money now and will in the future. Beyond that, he will be able to sue for your pain and suffering. So, take a trip to a lawyer who does malpractice work. You will find one in the yellow pages.
