| wrong type of cancer diagnosis What is the name of your state? Virginia
A friend of mine died a two weeks ago. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer and year and a half ago by doctors at Walter Reed Medical Center (Army). He was treated with chemotherapy.
A couple of weeks prior to his death, upon the recommendation of collegue, he travelled to Duke Univeristy Medical Center to see if they could do something. A week later they notified him that he had been mis-diagnosed and did not have lung cancer but another type of cancer that was highly treatable (given the right treatment).
He was immediately put in the hospital to attempt to build up his strenght to undergo the other treatment. However, he died prior to ever getting that treatment.
This seems pretty clear cut to me. Should his wife contact sue the Army for malpractice???
Thank you. |
