Cylert causing severe headaches???

Excuse me, please do NOT reply if you own stock in pharmaceuticles. I don't need negative feedback.

I don't own stock in anything, pharmaceutical or otherwise. Please do not get snippy because you did not get the answer you wanted to hear.

Perhaps, the cause of his headaches is his parents.

We have a winner!

OP, the school didn't put your child on any medication. It was a licensed physician. You can't show causation between the medication and the ongoing headaches.

So, it must be a coincidence that my son, who never got headaches, started getting headaches after his school forced us to put him on "ADHD" drugs. Is that what you are all telling me? How much proof does one need? I can't believe no one in this country or Canada or Europe has not had this problem with their children after taking Cylert!!!
Wow, as a parent, you allowed the SCHOOL to FORCE you to medicate your child?

What you have given is pretty much the definition of coincidence.

WOW!!
When I signed on to this site, I had no idea I'd be communicating with a bunch of PRO-drug-your-kids advocates. You are all either teachers or quacks who diagnose ADHD kids, for $300/hr, working for schools.

Actually, I DO believe in giving your children medication if they have a bona fide need for it. I wasn't medicated when I was a child and I would have gotten a lot more out of school if I was. This is from my PERSONAL experience living with ADHD, not as a doctor or a teacher or any other supposedly biased person. YOU, however, are an irrational mother who seems to barely have a grasp of the reality of medicine or science or logic. Look, if you want to hear that you can sue the drug company, you can. Anyone can sue anyone for anything. But all you're going to get for your trouble is a heap of legal fees.

Spoken like a parent who truly doesn't understand ADHD. Medication can help these children, enormously. Of course, they need parents who are open to helping their children accommodate to the fact that their learning needs may be different than other children. The child needs to be properly diagnosed, by an experienced, board certified Physician.

Zoomie - when you posted your question you were taking a shot in the dark that you would find someone to reinforce your assumption. The responses you have gotten are accurate and fair based on the information you posted. Feel free to contact a lawyer to pursue a lawsuit, and do tell us what the response is. However, your resources might be better invested by contacting another physician (i.e. neurologist) for further examination of your son's headaches, as it is incredibly unlikely that it is from medications 9 years ago.
