1st Contact

What is the name of your state? FL

I received a call from Leading Edge on Wednesday. I told her that I do not know who they are, etc., and to send me the information in writing. She stated, very rudely, that they had mailed several letters to me, to which I responded that I had never received one. She then gave me an address that is seven years old. They have pulled my record (as have I,) so I know that they have the correct one. I told her this, and even (maybe dumbly?) gave her my address of 2-1/2 years for them to send me the information within the required five days of initial contact. Today I received another, even ruder, call. I simply told him the above and hung up.
Question: I know to send a validation request if I do receive the information. What if they don't send it within the required time?
Thank you for your assistance.

The law requires them to send it, not for you to receive it.

Ok, Debt Collector. Point taken.

Anyone else? Since they can prove they SENT the letter only if they send it certified or registered, if I don't receive it, what is my next step? Thanks in advance for your actual assistance.
