Alford plea

/What is the name of your state? Maryland

I have entered the Alford plea in a sexual abuse case. Now I am being sued for the same thing. Will the Aldord plea hurt me in a civil court, or will they start with a clean slate? He has asked for a jury trial. I think financially, I will have to defend myself.
