Bank Account garnishment

I currently live in the state of TX.

I have a creditor threatening to sue me for the amount of 714.52. I'm currently a student working at a job making $6/hr for 18 hours a week. I got some student loan money that I have set aside in my bank account to pay rent and utilities. I'm working on getting an arrangement worked out with my debtors, but if it comes down to litigation, will they be able to garnish the funds in my bank account?

If they sue & get a judgement against you, then, yes, they can go after the money in your bank account.

Heh... doesn't matter anyway. They agreed to the exact settlement I proposed. It only took 30 minutes and two supervisors. Funny thing is that the majority of that time was simply me arguing with them to send me something in writing.
