Bankrupt Bed & Breakfast

I live in Maine. Last Christmas our children purchased a gift certificate for us to stay at a Maine Bed & Breakfast. Soon afterwards, the innkeepers filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy and left the state. Is there any way to get the money back that was spent on the gift certificate we're now unable to redeem?
