Is there anything I can do to stop these people fro contacting me?

Yes, you can send them a letter requesting that they cease and desist all communications to you about this matter.
Unfortunately you are now on their radar and you should not ignore this. Why? They have the ability to post a tradeline to your credit report and hurt your credit rating.
In your shoes, I would write them a letter CMRR (certified mail return receipt) asking them for Debt Validation. I would ask for proof the debt is in fact mine. Once they receive this letter from you, then they have to stop communication with you until they place what they consider validation into the mail for you. For the communication to cease your DV request letter must be sent in a timely manner - within the first 30 days of their initial contact (phone or mail), otherwise they will more then likely keep calling you and not validate.
If you are 100% sure the debt is not yours a C&D letter should be sent to them if they do not validate and keep calling.
