Can A CC do this??What is the name of your state? CT I had 2 cc w/ Citibank transfered to an attorney (via the courts) and I am making monthly payments to the attorney. I recently pulled my credit report- and discovered that every month since the debt was transfered to the atty office, Citibank is doing an inquiry on my name AND they are posting my accts delinquent as well. What is going on? are they allowed to do this? I emailed the OCC, but have yet to get a response. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

| Your accounts will be shown as delinquent since you did not pay the required payments. Once the credit cards are paid off, then they will not be delinquent.

| so from what I gather- this bad debt will be on my credit report for 7 yrs as of its "paid" date? but they can continue to pull my credit report monthly? It seems they are doing this to see if I incurred any more debt/money they couild claim- but it is no longer in their hands ( per atty) and every time they do this- other inquirys by employees/references can see all these other inquirys- which is damaging-right? |

As to why they pull your credit monthly, I have no idea why that is happening.

| Pulling a credit report for collections purposes is very different than pulling a report for credit purposes. The report is being used to verify any changes to your credit report. For example, you buy real estate, pay off other bills, buy a new car, and so on. Since it costs the company each time they pull your report, I'd say you owe them a considerable sum. DC
