Can a debt collector wipe out account after holdWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Kentucky / New York My bank account has been placed on hold and the debt collection agency is NOT negotiating at all. They want to take all that was in the account plus put on a monthly payment plan. Not trying to get out of it, just want a reasonable plan. Background - moved out of state back in 1999 and the judgment was supposedly served to my previous address in 2001. I was never personally served. More to the story but that would take up too much space! |

| Taking the entire account and extending you an opportunity to make payments on the balance is very reasonable. DC
