Can Offshore Corps garnish?

What is the name of your state? NY

Can an offshore business corporation garnish wages in the State of New York and do they take thier 'turn' as do domestic corps - except for child support, which of course, supercedes personal debt garnishments.

Anyone can garnish wages and levy bank accounts after a judgment has been granted.

So, I think your real question is "can a foreign corporation be awarded a judgment?"

I believe the answer is yes provided but they must bring the lawsuit in NY and comply with all US and NY law regarding due process, etc. Obviously, they must hire an attorney admitted to the bar in the state in which the lawsuit is filed.

Also, it is probable that the "offshore corporation" must be registered in NY in order to have legal standing to sue -- but I really don't know that to be absolute.
