I am asking this question for a friend who asked for my help. She was separated from her husband and the divorce papers had been filed, he wrote bad checks in the amount of $5000 her name was not on the account or on the checks, and as stated before her divorce papers were filed but no finalized by the courts. She now has a collection agency that is threating to garnish her wages because her ex husband is filing for a bankruptcy, my question is, is she resposible for any debts that he incured on his own after the date of filing? Please any help would be appreciated.
