Can they take House in Ca? Help!

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
I am being threatened with a lawsuit for an unsecured credit card that I defaulted on.

*If they are granted a judgment against me, can they take house or other personal property. I am married and hold title jointly with husband, am unemployed and have two small children. He had no knowledge of these debts and only my ss# and name were used to obtain them.

*Can I file a quit-claim deed now to protect house?

*If I got a part-time job, then could i file separately for bankruptcy to protect husband and home?

CA is a community property state. Your debts are your husbands debts.

Lawsuits are not about justice. They are about MONEY. If you don't want money, then you shouldn't be thinking about suing. And people post here because they are thinking about suing. Because they want money, no matter how much they don't want to admit that to themselves.
