Change of venue issues

This is a collection effort to obtain a judgment.
I filed a case in Dupage County a couple of months ago. The defendant did not respond to the complaint. I then filed a motion for default judgment. On the day the motion was to be heard, the defendant had an attorney make an appearance. The judge gave an additional 28 days or so for the answer to be filed. Instead of filing an answer, the defendants attorney filed a motion for change of venue. Instead of objecting to the change, I went along with it (I didn't want an objection to prolong the suit). It's now been two weeks and we found out the court fees have not been paid for the change of venue nor for the refiling in Cook County. So the case has not been transferred. It's quite obvious that this is a stall tactic. Is there anything I can do (besides me paying the fees).
