Civil suit from creditor Freeze bank account?

I live in California and I was called by an attorney's office stating that I have a civil suit from a credit card company. My question is, can they freeze my bank accounts?

I bet paperwork isn't filed though - and the lawyers just working the collection angle before he actually has to do work. Quite simple for them to swoop in and empty it once they do file and win.

call your local civil court, they must sue you in your local city.
speak w/ the clerk, tell them you are calling to find out if any lawsuits are filed against you...they can look it up by ur name. they say yes or no.

if they say no,
better for you.

send the laywers office a validation of debt via CMRR.
itlll buy you sometime.

Ewww... is that what happened to it? I don't think we want it back. I'm sure we can get another one that hasn't come in contact with swine flu, avian flu or mad cow disease.
