Co-signed loan Loanee won't pay help

What is the name of your state? New York.

I co signed for my nephew's student loan now he totally ignoring me and not paying anything on it. If I pay it off can I sue him for the amont I had to pay?

If not what are my options?

My response:

I've always favored "friendly persuasion." You have no idea how fast someone responds to a demand for money when my friend, "Louisville Slugger" and the word "kneecaps" are worked into the conversation.
