Collecting after Expiration

What is the name of your state? California

I have a medical equipment company and quite often my patients die without paying their bills completely. Sometimes the family members will take our equipment and sell it and we cannot even get that back. In California I believe I have 4 months to file any outstanding debt against the estate.

How do I file a lien against the estate of a deceased patient?

Don't you have a lawyer or an accountant for your business that you can ask?
