Collection Agency filed civil action

I have a collection agency that filed civil action after I got a letter from them stating they would delete the account, what happens now?

You should show up in court and be able to prove that:

a) its not your debt
b) the debt was already paid
OR
c) the company has forgiven your debt, so you don't have to pay

Feel free to bring the letter from them where it clearly states that you are no longer responsible for the debt to prove your case.

They said that although they removed it they can still file claim, I asked for the proof and they said they don't have to show me until court, I contacted an attorney

Apparently you don't have such a letter. Instead you have a letter where they agree to modify what is reported to the credit reporting agencies or just modify how your account appears in their internal bookkeeping. That sounds worthless to me.

So if you owed them money before this letter, you still owe them money.
