Iowa I had some returned checks back in 2000. A collection agency resubmitted my checks electronicly. The checks were paid. Collection agency has in their records that the checks cleared the second time. However, they sent me a letter telling me that they were drafting an electronic withdrawal for $200 (a $50 dollar fee for four checks) for the check fees they say I owe. Can they do that? |
