Collection occured in different date

What is the name of your state? Arizona

Debt occured in California

We are in the process of moving to Arizona. My husband has a debt that a collection agency has been calling him for that is past the SOL for California.

Now that we are moving to a different state, which rules apply? Does the rules still stay with California where the debt occured or does it now apply to Arizona where we will be living?
