Collection Practices?

What is the name of your state? Florida

I am just looking for information about collection practices for the original debtor. Family members are being contacted after 9:00pm local time by companies trying to collect. I think the most recent call was approximately 9:45pm. I know that the FDCPA prohibts third party collections from contacting after this time. Are there any regulations for original debtors? I am thinking it is the original debtor calling. Just seeking out information to pass along. Or if you know of any sources of relevant information I could research I would very much appreciate it.

Nothing under federal law prohibits it. However, Florida state law does. Look up the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act in your search engine, and read the text of the statute and your remedies.
