Cosigning the Big Mistake

What is the name of your state? Ohio I had cosigned for my sister in order for her to get a car. I thought she would be responsible as she was employeed and i was not and she always claims she is a very responsible person. However she kept falling behind on her payments then she had some mechanical problems with the car. So she met this man at her job who told her could help her get her car fixed. So she believed the man and gave him some money to get the car fixed but he did not he was scamming her he had her car towed to this garage where this mechanic that she didn't know tried to fix the car the man that scammed her was never seen again however where the car was left. The owner of the place was trying to work with her to get the car fixed however she wouldn't do anything. So when the guy said there was nothing he could do he moved the car off his property and left on the street. Later on after a few weeks the car went missing i don't know if my sister filed a police report or what because she is such a liar. However i was going through a very rough time and wasnot thinking clearly. My sister filed for bankruptcy and now she doesn't have to pay them back because i made the mistake of cosigning they are suing me i don't have a job or any money to pay for this car and i didn't know my sister was deep in dept or i never would of consider cosigning for her if i thought she wasn't gonna pay the car. I will never cosign for anyone again.
