Court/coll atty - need help please!!!

What is the name of your state? GA

Help please. Was served a subpeona two years ago from a local atty collection agency standing in for Arrow Financial, assignee to GE. Answered summons and filed answer and counterclaim. Then validated with atty who filed complaint but never heard anything from him. After 2 years with nothing else done by atty, Court sent status call notice as Judge wanted all old cases off his calendar. I went, so did atty. Judge suggested we attempt to get together over this and if we couldn't settle, pre-trial set for 8/29/05. Atty came over to me. I informed him I had no debt with GE and never had. Complaint listed $876, plus costs incurred bringing suit to $1,013. He then told me it was for an old HSN account which I did in fact have years ago. He filed suit during sol so I can't claim that; however, I know I did not owe $876. I stopped paying leaving a balance of under $200 as they did not credit two of my returned purchases totalling almost that amount. Atty asked me to call him on Tuesday after the 4th of July and we could work together on this. Nine days later, have called his office 6 times, got his voice mail each time and left a message each time. ALso, on day I returned home from Court (July 2nd) a lady from his office left a message on my home phone telling me atty asked her to call and would I please call her back. She is from his office, but has different number. Have called her back 5 times as well and left messages. No one had called me back yet, nor been there to receive my call. What do I do now? Just proceed as if I am going to pre-trial on the 29th of August, and prepare my docs, or do I continue to call. In one of my messages to each of them, I did reiterate that since they never responded to my validation of 2 years ago, I did expect an accounting of how they arrive at the figure I am being sued for. I was willing to work with him, but can never reach him. Any suggestions????
