Credit & CollectionsWhat is the name of your state? Arizona. In 1996 I became very sick and needed medications that would cost me around $500.00 per month for the rest of my life. I was on a new job an after the probation they let me go as I am sure did not want to cover me with their insurance. I was 56 years old. Just about one month prior I traded in my sports car for a truck. Truck was purchased for about $13,000 with one of my many credit cards. My credit history was excellent as I had always paid my bills before they were due. When I received my title from the state of Arizona, I was shocked to see that the title was 100% clear, with no lien holder. (This was a blessing for me). Without the medication, I was not able to function. So I took my truck, crossed over into mexico and received a sticker for the truck to pass into mexico as their was no lien holders on my truck. In mexico I had friends and the medications I needed was under $100.00 per month. I used my other credit cards to pay for the medications until I turned 62 and collect social security. Performed a test and opened a bank account in the U.S.A., and sure enough the bill collectors were after me. So I closed out the account an opened an account in mexico where they could not touch me. For the past nine years I have avoid passing through any american airport, for fear that I would be detained by immigrations, if my name should pop up from "ncic", or acic crime banks. (Lawyers I have talked with have no knowledge if the state of arizona is liable, or I am liable for a felony). Now I need to enter the U.S.A., but not at the expense of being arrested. Nine years has passed since this incident. Please is there any person who know if the statue of limitations has run out on non payments of credit cards and the truck incident. As I would like to pass through an american airport. Many thanks, Goldenginza Last edited by Goldenginza; 06-15-2005 at 03:14 PM. |

| Aside from the irrelevant information. Can you detail precisely the amount you owe to these creditors, last time you made a responsible payment and just what does your owning a truck have to do with re-entering the country? The post is not clear on the relevant matters in order to give an accurate response. |

| I think the OP got the vehicle on a credit card and never paid a dime on it and now the cc company is wanting their money. But he/has engaged in some fancy foot work to keep from paying for a truck. I could be wrong though it is kind of hard to understand the arrest bit. |
