Credit Report

What is the name of your state? Washington DC

I just received my current credit report and want to know how to tell when something negative should stay on my credit report what date do I go by. Date opened or Date Last reported?

Additionally,
If a account is showing Account closed, what is the best method to satisfy the debt?

**Date of last activity (closed, not when opened).

Additionally,

Depends on the type of account, who it is with, etc.
