Creditor Harrassment

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Arizona

Two years ago my old landlord won a judgement against my ex-husband and myself. We paid the balance of what we owed within 30 days of the Hearing, with a money order (cashed by LL). A couple of months later a CA writes us in the landlords behalf. They said we still had a balance to pay. I contacted the CA in the mail stating the balance was paid and to please check with their client. A month to 2 months later the same CA sends us another invoice for payment. I sent them copies of judgement and paymets made and addressed "ATTN: Supervisor" . In the letter, I explained that any further contact from them or their client would result in my taking measures in harrassment against them.

Forward to now. Two years later. I recently received another invoice from them for the SAME thing and a current date. How can I stop this? Obviously, direct proof, explaination, and a vailed threat to stop was nothing. What legal action can I take? Keeping in mind I have limited financial resources but enough dedication to try to do by myself. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

My guess is that there is some disagreement on the balance owed which would include not only the principal but also accrued interest and costs. Did you receive Satisfaction of Judgment stamped by the clerk of the court. If so, you are in good shape. If not...

I wasnt aware that I had to get a "Satifaction of Judgement" stamp. I thought the full pymt with receipt to the landlord and proof of cashing of payment was enough. Would I just get the SAJ at the clerk of the court after providing proof of pymt. And do I have just cause to pursue a restraining order or harassment charges.

This is a slum lord and she is determined to continue having a pound of flesh. Anything for money. I just want it to stop already. We broke a lease with a month 1/2 left over two years ago. Went to court, she won remainder of 1/2 month and judge ended lease without last month needing to be paid by us. Judgement was only about $350.00. She kept our deposit, even with 30 days notice and a spotless clean (pictures taken). We did everything according to the law. Enough is enough.

Thank you in advance for all the help you have provided.
