Criminal for lifeWhat is the name of your state?Rhode Island, has anyone ever heard of the trustee asking if you have been convicted of a felony.....and if yes then this would be a red flag so to speak so the trustee would pick your case apart?? |

| I was told that because I had been convicted of a felony 15 years ago that if I try to claim bankruptcy that in the 341 I will be asked if I have ever been convicted of a felony and when I reply yes that this will make the trustee suspicious that my bankruptcy claim may be fraudulent |

| Someone is feeding you fairytales ! There is no way there would be an automatic assumption of fraud just because you'd been convicted of a felony. I don't think the question is even on any of the schedules, so how would the Trustee know about any conviction ?? Bankruptcy fraud isn't based on your criminal record, its about your ability, or lack thereof, to pay your debts !!!
