Default judgement

What is the name of your state?

Hi,

I live in Virginia. I just found out I had a default judgement made against me in early August. The debt collector unifund was sending all the correspondence regarding this debt to another person with my same first and last name but a different middle initial and address. I still have time to file for a rehearing but wonder if it is worth it. There is a year before the SOL on this. What are my options? Do i have any recourse?

Make a motion to have the judgment set aside; you were not properly served.
