Dentist failed to take payment

What is the name of your state? Virginia

I paid half of the payment via credit card at the time of the services. We agreed, and I gave them authorization to charge me credit card for the remaining amount one month later. They failed to charge my card and are now saying I am delinquent. Am I still responsible for this payment if they failed to charge my card?

I have to believe that, if you've taken the time to register on the site and the additional time to post a question, that you must be serious. So the answer is yes, you are still responsible. I suggest that you take even less time to send them a check or call and remind them that they have authority to charge.

While we're on the subject, may I suggest that, henceforth, you not make it a practice to authorize future charges on your credit cards. There are some who would tell you that it opens doors to unauthorized charges and identifty theft. Such people may be alarmists, but it is something to consider.
