dismissalWhat is the name of your state? Minnesota I went to court about a week ago in regards to a couple credit cards. I talked to the person suing and made an agreement before the hearing with the judge. My case ended up being dismissed due to the person suing not being back on time. So basically we didn't even have an agreement with the judge on what i would have to pay. Do they still have the right to take money out of my bank account although we never appeared before a judge on the agreement? also...does the dismissal mean that everything has been dropped meaning they can't sue any longer? or can they still take me to court again for the same credit cards? |

Depends on what you signed and gave to the attorney for the plaintiff. also...does the dismissal mean that everything has been dropped meaning they can't sue any longer? or can they still take me to court again for the same credit cards? Yes. You can be sued again. Most likely, the plaintiff will petition the court to reinstate the case and just pick up where they left off. If you have a deal with the plaintiff, why don't you just call the attorney and get this thing on the road. You will save yourself the aggravation of going back to court. You already know where it is going to end up. Right? |
