disputed debt resurfaces

I had an old debt on my credit report that I disputed and was removed about a year ago. In reality it was a legit debt.
Another bill collector now has this debt and has sent me a bill for it.
Since this has already been disputed and removed do I have to pay this?

You can dispute this debt too. However, if the debt collector can prove it to be a valid debt, you will eventually have to pay. Of course, they may have to sue you in order to collect on it.
