Do I have a solid case given these circums.

What is the name of your state?GA but debt originated in VA

I have a pretty strong case against CA and I want your opinion of whether you think I do and would possibly be willing to meet with me for a consultation. Two yrs. ago I paid in full a collection with them. I paid by personal check and have a copy of it clearing my bank. I thought it was done with. However, at the beginning of this yr. they sent me a new letter saying they have purchased this debt from OC and are now collecting it as their own debt. I forgot about this and didn't respond. 2nd letter I got was from JBC attorneys stating it was forwarded to them for review and that "there is no intention to sue at this time" (which I think implies future possibility b/c at first I was worried and had just found CB but not sure on that one). I did DV this within the 30 days. 1st faxed them letter disputing it and sending the copy of the check. Then I followed up with a phone call when I hadn't heard anything. The rep. told me to give it a few days to be reviewed. I called a week later and the new rep said it would take over 3weeks to review and they don't respond to faxed letters. So I followed up with a real DV letter CMRRR which they still recieved within 30 days. By the way I have still never heard anything from them. I then disputed it with CRA and NCO verified it. They verified it over a month after having my dispute letter with proof of payment. I had figured they would just delete so was surprised. So I fired off an ITS letter. I faxed it to NCO VP and SVP and to JBC. It was deleted 4 days later. Next week recieved a letter of deletion from NCO but no $ that I had requested before. Then later recieved a letter from a new attorney who handled these kind of affairs for NCO (seems like they are a bit worried as my violations are outlined for them and I sent proof of payment) which basically was the same as NCO's. I emailed her about not mentioning the violations and meeting all of the criteria for settling out of court. She emailed me back saying NCO did nothing wrong. You disputed with JBC on 8/17 (which I did). JBC forwarded the letter on 9/27 to NCO ( over a month later?, come on, and by the way the date they verified with the CRA's is after this date of 9/27. It was 10/04/04) She said they immediately stopped collecting on this (which if you look at the date they verified then it is obvious they didn't do that). Also it was not removed from my account when I checked PG on 10/7 either. It did not get deleted until the next week after that. I also find it funny that she sent me her letter by fax 1st and I got it the day before my ITS time limit would be up before I intended to sue. My point is the only reason it got deleted b/c of my intentions to sue for violations and is there anything showing in courts that other people have sued after a deletion and won. I have all of the letters and emails saved and I have written down all of their violations. I also had contacted the OC before I had any written notice from any of NCO's people. They are still investigating. Further, Equifax sent me a letter which reinvestigated certain items for some reason ( I didn't ask them to) and concluded that they were to be deleted (NCO just happened to be one of them and the other 2 they mentioned had been deleted in the real dispute). So I need just an opinion before I seek out an attorney. I really am mad at the whole situation and felt like I was definitely taken advantage of and if it had not been for a credit repair board would still probably be in the same situation. Sorry so long.
