Do I still have to pay in New York

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

I sent a debt validation letter to an attorney CA in March 2009. They didn't respond until October 2009. Do I still have to pay the debt even though they took way more than the requested 30 days to respond? Can I have this debt deleted from my CR? 'Preciate your advice and time.

yup still have to pay, they can take 3 years to validate if they want as long as they do not continue collection activity.

As long as the validation letter was sent within 30 days of first contact.
