Exemption on money judgement california

State of California city of Los Angeles

Recently I recieved a money judgement on my bank accounts because of a credit card judgement.

I am a independent contractor/sole proprietor. I would like to get exemptions because I need $2000 in my bank account to be able to pay rent and run my business. Otherwise, I will be out on the streets and will never be able to clear this up or live.

Does anyone know the rules on what I can exempt. I heard about exempting automobile and some property, but how about money in a bank account for daily living expenses??

#1 Rule - CHECK YOUR LOCAL STATUTES! They will tell you exactly what is exempt and what is not!
