Exemptions from levyWhat is the name of your state? CA I need to know what are the exemptions for levyare in CA for collections. Retirement,401 K,disability? |

| All of those types of income are EXEMPT from siezure - in all states that I"m aware of.

| It may be possible to protect necessities of life - home, clothes, car (within certain price limitations). Some exempt assets from collection are workers comp., unemployment, pensions, soc. sec., welfare & life ins. payments . . . Some assets are automatically protected - in the case of others, need to ask court to determine. At your request, the claims court clerk normally can give you a list of protected assets.
