Exs medical bills

What is the name of your state? WI

I have just gotten my credit reports and found that I have 7 collection accounts for medical bills that are my ex wifes from both before, during, and after our marriage. I have never gotten a bill for any of these and wonder how to get them off my credit report?

You should write letters of dispute to the credit reporting agencies. Samples are availabe at [url]www.creditinfocenter.com[/url].

It is possible that you might be responsible for some of the bills. Most states provide that spouses are responsible for "necessaries" -- things like rent and medical bills. This would not apply to the pre or post marriage debts.

Regardless, your best bet is to just dispute the debts as "not mine".
