False Chargeback on Paypal & Collection Agency?

What is the name of your state? North Dakota

This all began about 4 months ago. I sold an online beta key for a game to someone online for $350.00. We used paypal and the payment worked out fine. However, 2 months ago I have been notified that there was a chargeback and the person is claiming he never received the merchandise. Paypal has sent a lot of negative balance emails to the email address associated with my verified paypal account. I ignored a lot of them figuring nothing major would happen since I gave the person the merchandise and I already withdrew the $350.00 from my paypal. Paypal now has been threatening that if I don't add funds to my account to bring it to a positive balance then they will notify a collection agency. I have sent emails to paypal regarding this telling them I gave the merchandise to the guy even though his chargeback was successful. Do I have to pay the money? I gave the person the merchandise "online" and I don't have chat logs saved from AIM. Is there anyway to evade the collection agency and the paypal negative balance?

Read your terms of service with paypal, then rephrase your question.

It is NEVER a good thing to ignore this sort of problem. It doesn't go away...
