fraudulent loans

My husband and I live in Nebraska. I have recently obtained several small loans through the internet, using my husbands name and personal information, without his knowledge. These funds were deposited into my checking account, which is in my name only. The automatic payment withdrawl for these loan payments was set up to be deducted from the same checking account. When the first payments for these loans came due, and there was no money in the bank account for automatic payment deduction....the loan companies contacted my husband at work. Of course, he had no idea what they were talking about. After he asked, and found out what was going on, he called these loan companies. He told them that his wife had obtained those loans, and that he had been adviced to tell them that he is not responsible and will not pay the balance due.

He has asked me to contact these companies and make arrangements for payment. Before I begin calling these companies, and before they start bullying and threatening me...(like they did to my husband). I would like to know exactly what they are allowed to do and not do, or say or not say.

I am currently not working, but I have begun looking for employment and should find a job soon. I plan on paying on these loans, when I get hired and my first paycheck.

bullying or threatening you??? You stole the money. You're lucky you aren't signing divorce papers in a cell.

What you have done is called "identity theft" and it is criminal.

It is possible that you will be prosecuted for fraud.

What you did to your husband was down right nasty and rude.

It is fradulent to act as someone else to do anything, and you obtained money in his name.
He could rightfully sue you.

The collectors can pretty much say what they want - you owe them money and they can say a lot. They could sue you if you don't pay up ....
That is after you racked up hundreds of dollars in interest.

You've created a fine mess. You better take out another loan to pay for your divorce
