What is the name of your state?GA
CAN YOUR WAGES BE GARNISHED FOR A FEDERAL STUDENT LOAN? IF SO TO WHAT EXTENT?

Yes and up to 25% of your aftertax wages above the federal minimum wage.

AND, for a Federal student loan they can take your tax returns for YEARS !
