What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

Is a student loan company allowed to garnish wages without issuing a subpoena first?

Thank you for responding, Zigner. I am not sure. How do I find out? I haven't come across anything in the mail saying so, nor have I received any phone calls stating so.
Start by asking your employer for a copy of the paperwork they received that ordered them to garnish your wages.
