Going to Trial !

I was served a summons and complaint for a debt that was over 6 years old. I filed an Answer stating that the Plaintiff's claim was barred by the statute of limitations. Shortly after that, the Plaintiff filed a Motion for Partial Summary Judgment (Liability Admitted). This motion was denied. Now, I received a letter in the mail stating that we are going to trial. I can't believe this attorney is taking me to trial ! Am I missing something? Is there any way they can garnish my wages or make me pay the amount due when the Statute of Limitations has expired? I don't have the money to pay for an attorney so I plan to go to trial and represent myself. I have the ability to research case law and am wondering how I can go in there with guns blazing. My hope is that the judge sees what a waste of time this is, but I'm not sure if the Plaintiff really has a claim to the debt owed. Help !

My response:

How the hell are we supposed to know when you DON'T follow the forum instructions?
