Have a judgement against me from 9 year old...

Credit card I defaulted on. I recieved a letter last June informing me that I owe $5000.00 on a defaulted card that I originally owed 1000.00 dollars on. Is there any recourse for this madness? It's hard for me to believe that I cannot do a thing about this.....especially since I just started recieving the letter for this bloated sum about 9 months ago.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank You.

Do you really want to spend your time helping somebody that removed the question asking what state is involved yet wants an answer?

ajc76; there is a reason that question is in the initial thread posting box. It is relevent to most questions asked here including yours. No answer can be given without that little bit of info you chose to exclude, even after being prompted to provide it.
