Hearing for Judgment

What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state? PA

I was served with a civil action hearing notice for an outstanding credit card bill. I acknowledge this, but would like to avoid the hearing, and can only pay in installments. Is it okay for me to contact the firm who is representing the credit card company to make payment arrangements, or do I just assume they want the settlement in full? What all can they do in PA to get this judgment if I cannot pay in full? Any suggestions or advice is much appreciated.

The credit card company is Providian, and the firm is Marlyn Financial Services in Jenkintown, PA.
