Help, What's my next step?

What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state? TX. I sent validation letter to this collection agency. I received the green card back on 1/05/05. They have yet to respond. I talked to CRA they said the collection agency pulled a hard copy of my credit. The collention agency is not on my credit report. Can they do that? What's should I do ? Debt is from July 1997

My reply: Yes they can.
You should wait. And check your credit report to see if that particular Collection agency starts reporting. Then resend them a debt validation letter. Send the Credit Report bureaus a dispute as well if its on the report.(Provided their are errors on how its being reported). Since you didnt state WHAT type of debt this is I will not comment further.
