Higher interest than agreed on contract.

What is the name of your state? Ca

Can a Collection agency / Lawyer charge a higher percentage rate than what was on the original credit card contract/agreement ??

They can charge the DEFAULT interest rate that is specified in your credit card agreement. That rate is usually significantly higher than a normal rate.
