Hospital civil summons

Hi there. I have been served a summons on a hospital bill of my husbands. I have been making payments but not as much as they wanted. My question is: this summons is for court in an adjoining county..not where I live and have for the last 14 years and not the county where the hospital is either. Is this grounds for dismissal? (improper venue?) This is totally out of the blue and maybe can give me some time to think and maybe even haggle a bit with them, since they may need to file again? Thanks a bunch for any suggestions on where to look or whats coming next. Never been through this before. rlc67

I will be calling the hospital collections this morning and speaking with them about my bill and its collection. (see prior post)

Does anyone know if the civil summons must be served in the county I live in or the county where the bill was incurred? Otherwise improper? I sure would appreciate your help.
