How does a Private party collect on a debt?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Arizona
I paid for a car for my boyfriend.We are now splitting up.How to I go about collecting payments from him?The title IS in his name but I do have proof I paid for the car in full.:eek:What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Can you prove it was a loan and not a gift?

That is going to be a hard sell if she has nothing signed by BF stating that he owes her the money. She should have put herself on as lienholder on the title.
