How long grace period to renew judgements?A little over 10 years ago a home a friend of mine had was foreclosed on. The bank got a pretty big deficiency judgement and slapped it in the local county clerks office under his name. I recently checked it in the office and it seems to have dissappeared off the record! (It expired about 9 months ago). I was wondering how much time the original creditor has to renew it? My friend lives in in New York State. Last edited by LLguy; 12-02-2004 at 11:54 PM. |

| I do believe they have to renew BEFORE it expires. The NY statutes are on-line, you want Chapter 8, article 52 on judgments ![]()
