How and Where do I report an FDCPA Violation? What is the name of your state?I am located in the State of Florida. I have had numerous telephone calls (up to 20x/day) from a specific debt collector. Just yesterday, March 28, 2005, a Debt Collector called my in-law's house and disclosed personal account information to him including the amount owed. I am sick of feeling harrassed by this collector since they have been told several times by my in-laws that we do NOT reside there. Where or How can I reports this violation. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you...

| Do you have proof? A phone recording? Anything? Send the collection agency a letter certified mail return receipt stating to only contact you by mail at "such and such" address. |

| If you have a complaint against a debt collector for violations of the FDCPA, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The FTC governs that Act along with the FCRA and a few othes. Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office and the BBB.
