I Won a dismissal from NAF, Now What? What is the name of your state? Virginia I've been harassed by Credigy (MBNA, original creditor) for years. I finally got the arbitration threat from Credigy so I responded to the National Arbitration Forum with a request for dismissal about 4 months ago. Today, I received a letter from the NAF granting my dismissal. Does this mean that I can now get these guys off of my credit reports? If so or not; where do I go from here? Thanks, Dave.. What is the name of your state? |

| Getting THIS attempt at arbitration tossed is a nice victory, but don't expect Credigy to back down. They may just try suing you for their next trick. Just because you deflected the arbitration doesn't mean anything comes off your reports.

I Have now filed a Suit against Credigy!!I have hired an (contingency-only) attorney to file a Federal suit against Credigy. I have only paid for the Federal filing fees ($350). This firm tells me that within 3-4 months; I might be able to have the previous debt deleted from my reports. I'm told that the worst case senario would be that the current (inflated debt amount) balance could be reduced to the original amount. Would this be payable to Credigy or the original debtor (MBNA) ? My wife and I are trying to sell our house and buy another nearby. This blemish on my credit reports is standing in our way. Other than this single entry; we have great credit and a lot of home equity. Dave.. |

| The CREDITOR is no longer MBNA, Credigy is a junk debt buyer so they are now the owners of the debt and they are the ones who would get paid any settlement amount.. or be made to pay should you win your suit against them.
